Patrick Wayne Swayze (né le 18 août 1952) est un danseur, acteur, chanteur et compositeur américain, connu pour ses rôles dans les films Dirty Dancing (pour lequel il écrivit et composa la chanson She's Like the Wind) (1987) et Ghost (1990). Le film a eu beaucoup de succès, malgré un petit budget et des acteurs alors très peu connus. La bande originale du film a été l'une des plus vendues dans le monde, avec des chanson telles que She's Like the Wind, écrite et interprétée par Patrick Swayze, Hungry Eyes, chantée par Eric Carmen, et (I've Had) The Time of My Life, composée par Franke Previte et interprétée en duo par Bill Medley et Jennifer Warnes, qui a remporté l'Oscar de la meilleure chanson.
